Today was the Gabonese military open day with a display by the (only?) operational fighter in the Air force. A while back, several Mirage F1s were acquired from the South African Air Force and are piloted by ex SAAF pilots as there are no qualified Gabonese pilots to my knowledge. Last year there were 2 operational but now I only notice one. I live about 2 nm from the airport so I managed to capture some of the action, but please excuse the quality, I don’t yet have a zoom lens. “Miracle” is the South African aviation community’s slang term for a Mirage. If you want to know what the k@k plaas is, pm me :diablo:.
