I got a few Aero Engine photos from India, would appreciate the correct Ids. I am afraid No Merlins or Griffons, but they do look interesting enough.
I know the general types – forexample the jet engine in the pic is for the Sea Hawk. But what about the piston engines? the turboprop in the background is a dart
The inline piston engine inside a building was reported as a ‘Tigermoth’ engine – is it?
The radial engine with missing cylinder heads – thats a completely new one.
The pics are from Naval Aviation Museum Goa and Air Force Academy Museum, Dundigal

The latter one is definitely Dove, as it has Dove engine bearers, and cowl rails – unless the Sealand used the same units (?)

There is a Sealand there in Goa without engines (and fake cowlings and props in place) . There is also a Dove/devon there but I think it has its original cowlings and props in place, so the engines could be from either?
The Tigermoth engine I think figures because VT-DBK is displayed nearby.
The only thing now left is that sad looking radial – there are no radial engined aircraft in the vicinity (apart from a harvard, which retains its engine).

The Sea Hawk engine in the last picture is a Rolls-Royce Nene 103 (double-sided centrifugal compressor, 5200lb thrust, blah, blah…).

The radial isn’t a AW Cheetah is it?

Top one, and the subject of some of the latter shots are Gipsy Queen 70, Dove/Devon Engines. The other inline engine is a Gipsy Major, and is most likely from a Tiger Moth. Its upside down though!
