This is FSX with basic scenery. Location is Durban, South Africa (where I live when I am there) and I have flown out of both airports in real life. FADN (Louis Botha Airport) is now defunct, having been replaced by King Shaka International.
Just after liftoff from hangars to north for threshold rwy 06 passing the terminal.
At threshold rwy 06 (which used to be 05 when I flew there 😎 )
Over the Bluff approaching the harbor.

As promised, here are a few screenshots from my friend who has enhanced scenery.
Firstly, compare the Golden Mile with the photo above

27vet,
I think people use fraps though that can be choppy depending on your set up. Worth having a look on YouTube to ask/see what they are using?
Looking good, I enjoyed FS2004 with photo scenery as I could spot my folks house.
FSX is fun but limited for me due to Laptop specs …. Still getting a good 30fps though on mid settings.

Here is the real “Golden Mile” with the world cup soccer stadium in the background. A friend of mine has much better enhanced scenery of South Africa and most of the real buildings show uo. I’ll see if he will send me a screenshot.

Final at FAVG
Mission accomplished.
For comparison, here is a Bell UH-1, North America scenery
I have a few issues though, my machine seems slower than before (even with two screens). I’m on Windows 7 so there is an auto defrag once a week or so, therefore that isn’t the problem. I always do a restart before running flightsim X. No other programs are running.
Does anyone know how to do a video of a FSX flight? (The built in video in FSX is useless). I’ve heard of Thraps or Fraps, something like that.
