dark light

Misty Murky MAN ( 23/12/06 )

It was dull, misty, cold and very very dark this morning.

A long way from ideal photographic conditions for the first visit of a PIA B777-340ER. 🙂

I was in MAN on 23rd in the T1 cafe area. I took a few photos but the weather was gross. It was great to see that TriStar though. Sight of the day in my opinion.

[QUOTE=Grey Area;1059855]Thank you, chaps. 🙂
That’s the stand that the EK “300ER”s park on, so maybe it’s something to do with the dimensions of the aircraft?

Yes Greay Area, you are right. I asked today and 202R is the only stand on T2that takes the -300 at the moment.

Bit grey was it, Lance? :diablo:

The 777 sure is a great looking plane, but to be honest I’m more interested in the L-1011 and VC-10 lurking in the background!

I wonder why they put the PIA on stand 202?

Is Level 13 still open?

The apron shots were taken on a flying visit to Level 10. Judging from the number of spotters lurking about on Level 11, I’d say not. 🙁

i never knew lauda still had the 737s

OE-LNT is a fairly new machine, msn 33834.

Finally, here’s one I forgot to post yesterday:

Looks more like Brize Norton than MAN 😀

PK 773 looking superb, saw a few got on A.Net super quick today!

Yeah, it’s funny how quick they screen them when they see them on JetPhotos  if it’s anything else they take forever!

Nice shots there Lance! Is Level 13 still open?

Great shots Grey. The light was not ideal for a first visit. Never mind we will be seeing a lot of them from now on! I wonder why they put the PIA on stand 202? The PIA’s are normaly further up the terminal.
Notice that they didn’t do a “water arch” to greet it, not after that mix up with the water/foam switch in the states!!!!
Happy Christmas Grey area and good shooting in 2007

Great pics there Lance. There is an image near identical to the top shot on jetphotos lol.

I seen MAN has been getting plenty of diversions in Brize Norton over the last few days.
