Great about the numbers of passengers. Not quite so good about the financial situation. Still, if they can trim those “start up” costs and give the admin department a bit of a shake up where I know theres alot of unneccessary money drainers, then it could be a happy picture all round. In terms of “working on the next stage of expansion” where do you think they’ll go next. I’m a bit perplexed at the fact that running at a loss is due to start up costs, yet they’re about to incur more start up costs by expanding. Now I know they need to expand to keep the business active and to increase turnover, but would it not be best to try and find ways of reducing these start up costs before expanding again? When they do expand, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to where they might go next? Now that they’re operating Paris, and theres not too many places they havent tried already in the UK that could work, do you think theres any chance of them expanding further into Europe? Larger aircraft would certainly be welcome to boost their image and profile. Saying their working on the next stage of expansion also coincides with CWL’s announcement that they’ve appointed Peter Phillips, who has worked as an advisor for the European Regions Airlines Association and represented marketibg communications for Amsterdam Schiphol for 11 years, as head of communications & marketing, a newly created position. He’ll take up his post in October, and will be a key part of exciting new developments at the airport “which are on the verge of happening”!
