Mk 1 Directional giro help please (BFP)

Hi
Could anyone please help as im trying to piece together a Canadian mk1 hurricane flying panel.

I have acquired a mk1 directional giro but it has no back cover hence no ref number, so im finding it difficult to establish its year of manufacture, i can find quite a lot of information on the Mk1a but nothing on the Mk1.

Please can anyone point me in the right direction? (excuse the pun)

Thank you in advance.

I have both the 6A/602 (from my Dragon {presessing}) and a Mk 1 (from my Proctor {precessing}) if they are of use to you. PM if interested

Presumably Ref No 6A/602, here from AP1275A issued 1937. Note that it states that they are luminous and therefore hazardous:
