What started off as a complete spitfire more or less on friday morning was so complete by the time we finshed.
Here’s a pic i took a while back of the 18 n 14 together
then a pic from yesterday.

No – it would be a fresh application and would be treated on it’s own merits.
There might even be a change of personnel at the regulatory body by then!

That must be very frustrating for everyone involved at TFC.
Would the lack of C of A prevent her returning to fly in the UK at some future date?

Many thanks for that.
I regularly do read the blog but had obviously missed something in this instance!
Thanks again,
Rich.

Sorry if I’ve missed something relating to this aircraft, but I was under the impression that it was staying with TFC. Why is it being shipped to New York and what indeed, are the plans for this aircraft?
Forgive me if I’m just being completely foolish! Any info gratefully received.
Thanks,
Rich
The aircraft was sold back in the summer to Jim Beasley in PA.
All the engine snags had been sorted out and the aircraft was complete and ready to fly pending paperwork.
Unfortunatly this proved to be a major hurdle.
It was agreed to ship the spitfire, unflown, to the new owner.
It was de registered the next day
Very frustrating to the rebuild team and all involved but it was out of our hands.
Check out TFCs blog for updates.
Regards
Bwb

Agreed TT – but there are plenty of other not so good places in which one could live !

Morale Booster!
What a lovely photo that first shot is, especially on a dull, cold, wet and miserable day here in “sunny” Lincolnshire! Thanks for posting and brightening up the day!
