Hello to the MK9 seat specialists out there.
For a restauration project of a early MK9 seat I’m looking for the line, connecting the drogue system to the main parachute container/box.
I do have a line labeled as MBEU 6527 PA. This must be the correct line but it was sadly very tasty to some mice.
Is there any chance to get that line somewhere in better condition then mine?
Also I’m looking for pictures or instructions how to install the drogue system and lines into the headbox and connecting it to the main chute box.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Best regards,

Thanks Bill for sharing those. The top view is very interesting.I have some drogue chutes from the GAF GQ7 seat spare. That should be good enough to fill the empty top box for display now.
Does anyone know why there is the little black flap/metal piece on the shakle? As far as I know thats unique to the MK9 seats.Haven’t seen that on any other seat before.
An other part that is unknown to me is the one in the red circle.Any idea?
Thank you.

Here’s some Jaguar MB Seat Diagrams /sketches I mentioned other day, including a view of top of headbox which you will find useful. Hope these help.

In case I will do a new one that will help. Thanks for that. They offer some screws which are corroded on my seat. I might check out there stock.

Dear Bill,
thank you for the answer. The seat is for static display use of course.Already thought about stichin a new one but I want to keep as much original parts of it as possible.
Maybe I will cut off the chewed parts a bit and try so reinforce it by resewing them.Just to have something there until I find a better one.
You don’t see much of the line anyway?? The visible part going through the Guillotine is still in good shape.

Hi Jet Driver,
Looking at your pic. here, if it is of your line from your seat, what I would do is to pick up some small lengths of same white lanyard (These are always around at aerojumbles, evil,Bay,etc. ) and cut and stitch in replacement pieces for the “Chewed” ones. ( Assuming your seat is for static display that is.) you could do a neat job with white cotton thread , dirty it all up a bit and once re-fitted back into headbox, bet very few folks would notice. (Except all ze folks looking here –lol !!! ) My seats are a MK.2D and a 3A, different in many ways, but will look thru my seats literature and post back here if I find anything relating to this aspect of the Mk. 9 MB Seat. Best of luck !!

Hello, there is someone restoring one on here, might be worth asking him
http://www.ejectorseats.co.uk/wanted_section.htm
main site
http://www.ejectorseats.co.uk/
The Jag had a connector that was accessed through the centre split in the headrest material to attach the drogue to the main chute. but bar that im hopeless at bang seats these days 🙂
Another useful site to join and ask for help on might be Egoat. I cant find the Armours website anymore ( RAF Plumbers)
