Can anybody help?
I am looking for the manuals for a ML Aviation ‘Yellow Peril’ aircraft tug to assist in the restoration of the example we have at our museum.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wow thanks for that. Yes serious money indeed. I knew some agricultural tractor prices were going through the roof but I hadn’t realised it was the same for DB VIG’s !

Two sold recently in South Yorkshire I believe the fully restored on ex RAF fetched £38000 and a ruff on fetched £15000 in need of restoration. I did not see them sold but was told by a local tractor collector. We were offered a David Brown the same as the one above about 20 years ago complete for £500 I wish we had taken it on.

Very smart looking tug there.
Personally I’ve always fancied owning a David Brown VIG aircraft tug from the 1950s to run around on like this one, although I think they’re a bit beyond my budget now!

Another ML/DOUGLAS TUG we purchased recently in full working order no idea of its history. It has now been cleaned of leaves and is currently being repainted. Its number is 40KK20.

Hi Graham,
I was hoping to find some parts manuals in particular as it seems to be made up from quite a bunch of oddities. Just rebuilding the wheel brake cylinders has shown parts from a MK1 Lotus Cortina. Do you have any pictures of your restored example?

We have just rebuilt ours completely from the chassis up with new diff bearings and all new hydraulics,we had no manuals.
