A very salient point! The “cultural heritage” sector – museums and the like – is seriously underfunded, so pay is poor and job security may be an unknown even in important aspects such as conservation of exhibits.

Next time anyone fancies knocking the job that the staff do at DX, perhaps they should consider what they are getting for their efforts?

Me either, shame really as the position is right up my street having done exhibition contracting for several years, pity I can make 32K a year just driving a truck these days….. 😡
