When me and my other half split up, he moved out and left all his models here, these were numurous and included a fleet of Airbuses, loads of fighter planes, a couple of Concordes and all his kits still waiting to be built……I didn’t damage any of them, I appreciated the work (and blood, sweat, tears and frustration) that went into them, not to mention the money sat on top of the wardrobe waiting to be built!

We are now back together, and of all the models that have taken test flights….mine have suffered the most!

Just out of interest, does anyone know of a model of a Tupolev Tu-16 ‘badger’? The only one i can find is the Trumpeter one with some sort of ugly maritime nose, and a Russian 1/144 kit but apparently thats a dog of a kit.

Guess what the first things in the bin were when we split up? 🙁

.

guess what was the first things i moved BEFORE me and Bev split up 😉 i know how vicious woman can be 😮 shame that this has put you off the hobby. i have to admit that i have found it to be rather relaxing and helps take my mind off the nastiness of the split.

best regards.

When I was married the first time I had three large glass display cabinets full of lovingly constructed and painted 1:72 scale models – mainly naval aircraft. Among them were 3 “Frog” Sea Furies and 2 “Frog” Shackletons.

Guess what the first things in the bin were when we split up? 🙁

I’ve never had the heart to take the hobby up again.

I don’t have the time for modelling these days or the space to keep them but I couldn’t resist a look at the website. Very nicely put together. Might have to bookmark it anyway.

Splinter camo! Nice job on that Viggen, love some of the Swedish camo jobs they’ve used over the years.

I don’t build many models these days (although I did just do an Airfix Spit IX in less than a day, and did a pretty good job of it, if I do say so myself!!), but it seems worth a look.

I’d be too afraid to put any of my models up, as I doubt they’re up to snuff!

you havn’t seeen pics of mine, i’m not all that good at models but i try my best and thats what counts.
currently on the bench are 2 chipmunks (1 BoBMF and ! civil ) a tiger moth and the RAF Church Fenton gate guard Spitfire MK5c.

heres a pic of a Saab viggen i did years ago, the camo done by hand and id was a real pain.
