Helibras will modernize 33 AS.350 Esquilo / Fennec. These helicopters belong to the command of Army aviation (CAvEx ). Other AS.350 3 will be assembled at the time are dead. The contract signed on December 30 last year is worth US$ 92 million.
The helicopters will receive new banks armored with shock absorption, autopilot made in Brazil by Sagem model AP85, exchange analog by a panel of MPH with 3 LCD display. The works are scheduled for completion in 2018 and will be held at Factory Helibras.
The structure established by Helibras will allow other aircraft to be upgraded. Brazil has a total of 300 helicopters AS.350.
AS.350 The Squirrel (Esquilo) is a helicopter used by the Brazilian army aviation and adapted for fast attack. First delivered in 1991 and further modernization of 25 will give more time to live.
