Modifications Plate ex RAF dump

I cant remember if I have mentioned these before but can someone one help i.d. what these are off ? They have been sitting on the edge of my desk for at least three years as unknowns.

I picked these up at the dig we had a Silloth many years ago so likely late war.

There are two plates.

The more legible one has no type number

Under Serial No.

FL15S/G5S/79411 S-O

Then underneath for Modifications

AN not embodied
MODS Embodied

The other one is more corroded but it has

FL15S/G5S/78411 S-O
GA 873 Z/SO/2

?O

Inspectors stamp

F&L 212 in a circle.

Thank you.

My desk is a very nice Air Ministry oak desk with a date of May 1940.

It stays!!

As does the Type 4 USN periscope head glass that is sitting on it that just arrived from overseas…

I originally thought F&L was possibly Folland and they made Beau and Spit parts. But I cannot see any Folland plates for comparison.

Thank you Mr. Sabrejet.

I am making the assumption that from the top two numbers in sequence that they are from the same machine type.

If my memory is correct and they are from Silloth it is unlikely to be Meteor being scrapped so soon after the end of the war.

I found them again as my wife is clearing my desk of all its clutter to take to Flying Legends this weekend.

Thanks for all ideas.
