Forum members will be very sorry to hear that Moggy ( Robin ) has been injured in a flying accident today whilst flying his Vans RV-4 .
Though hospitalised, it seems that his injuries are ‘ not thought to be serious’ , and we can only wish him the speediest of recoveries.
”Emergency services were called at around 3.50pm today and a man in his 50s has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with a back injury.
An ambulance service spokesman said the injury was not thought to be serious.
Two paramedic ambulances and a land ambulance attended, and the fire service sent three appliances – one from Long Stratton, one from Harleston and a water carrier and support appliance from Hethersett.”
Needless to say, the local paper have the story wrapped round their head, and called the Vans a glider. Then again, maybe it was in the final phase..
Very best wishes, and hope to have you back ‘on board’ in short order. So glad it was not worse.

Blimey Mogs, go steady old chap.
Guess I should prescribe some aspirin or something. Or maybe a shot (or two) of something 50% by volume or above 😉

Like ‘Scramble Bill’ I don’t often post, but offer my best wishes for a speedy recovery, and sincerely hope that your ‘little mishap’ hasn’t dented your desire to ‘commit aviation’ in the future ?

Moggy
Sorry to read of your accident, (at first I thought this thread might be “1st of April” related)
Get well soon and hopefully the RV4 and/or its unique registration might somehow be salvageable.
Regards

Glad to hear you are ok Moggy, as others have said the rest is only metal and CAN be rebuilt. May be an insurance write off but I have seen worse resurrected, just need some TLC and money thrown at it.

Perhaps circumstances dictated rather more flair than flare?!
