Did Monarch fly any Boeing 720’s on holiday charters from Edinburgh Airport in the early 80’s (1981) , I flew from Edinburgh on my first ever holiday abroad in 1981 and I’m sure the safety card was titled Boeing 720B , did they fly them and does any body have any photo’s , thanks.

I always thought the B720 was a funny plane, I guess Monarch must have got them at a good price, Air Malta had some as well.

The 720 is a funny aircraft. I know it’s a lightweight 707 requiring less runway, but still with a good range.

In terms of capabilities, the nearest I can get to it is a four engined long range 727-200. Would that be accurate?
