Anyone flown on any of Monarch’s A300s recently? What was it like?
I shall be flying on one of the beasts in July next year from MAN-DLM and wanted to know what to expect 😉
I have flown a Monarch A300 before though, although that was years ago, and I have also flown Air Scandic’s 2 A300s also 😀
How are the interiors nowadays? And how much is the beer on Monarch? 😀

I went on one in July 2004 – A great flight with a hilarious crew (for all the wrong reasons) – e.g. Them standing on the seats to get into the overhead lockers, liverpudlian one screaming at the person sat next to me for complaining the plane was too cold, spilling food everywhere…
Seats not great but it is a widebody and that does make a nice difference. Where are you flying with them?
I read somewhere they were going to add a premium cabin at the front. See attached pics (sorry for quality of interior shot!!!)
Who was flying the plane…..Benny Hill?????????

Just flown Maldives – Bahrain – Manchester 5th December on Monarch A300 G-OJMR.
Have to say it was pretty awful – despite the new paint job and interior refurb it still has the 3-3-3 configuration and 28″ pitch.
IFE is half a dozen TV’s throughout the cabin (don’t forget to take your £2.50 to buy a headset) and row 7 window seats are to be avoided – they do not recline due to the oxygen tanks behind it!!
This flight was being operated on behalf of MyTravel as their plane (A330?) had gone tech “hours” before departing from the UK. Hmmm, interesting that the seat back contained a MyTravel boarding card for Sanford some 2 days earlier.

The last time I flew one was in 1999 and that was transatlantic to Puerto Plata. Typical legroom and service, too.

Went on G-MONR in March. Not generous with the legroom, especially in the middle. However, it is better than the Air Scandic A300 G-TTMC I flew a couple of years ago.

3-3-3 seating and 28 inch pitch last time I was on one of them (4 years ago) – truly awful.
Went on one from LGW to Mahon it was fantastic.A brilliant aircraft hope Monarch keep them in there fleet for along time.
