I spent bank holiday Monday up at Heathrow and was having a drive about and come across a cargo area.
Can anyone explain to me why there was a Monarch loading bay when Monarch do not operate flights to/from Heathrow??
I’m really confused. Could Gatwick use Heathrow for Monarch cargo..??

I took a look on Airliners.net for Monarch Airlines @ Heathrow and came up with one photo from 1996, surely this area I saw is not used for a just a few weeks a year?

Monarch is a regular visitor here with charter flights in the summer. Although they usually go to Gatwick/Luton…..this time when I took this shot, I flew to Heathrow.

Come on people….can anybody help out???? This has baffled me aswell and i can see it getting pushed to the bottom of the posts.
