Monarch flight diverted

To Athens according to Skynews due to pilot having a stroke. The 757 landed succesfuly and passengers evacuated.
Why would passengers need to be evacuted due to pilot having a stroke though ?

Looks like it has been editted now to reflect the lack of evac. Many aircraft don’t have nosewheel steering on the right hand side so taxiing the aircraft if the Capt. is unable to is not an option. Anyone know what the most common cause of pilot incapacitation is? Gastric discomfort. It is incredible how debilitating it can be. I have experienced it in flight but fortunately I was an extra crew member.

Err……..who’s going to fly it?

Crew went out of hours, therefore replacement crew had to be sent from the UK

Not sure why the passenger will be evacuated. Probably just the press blowing the whole thing out of proportion.
