Yes I was lucky enough to go with the ‘Monarch Airlines Enthusiasts Trip’ to Malpensa …. What a supurb event, my heartfelt thanks to all involved especialy Toby and Andrea …. Toby was the ‘team leader’ of those members who travelled from Manchester and Andrea ‘looked after’ the team travelling from Gatwick !
Included in the itinerary were visits to the baggage handling system, the control tower, the VIP lounge and the Volandia Museum, as well as some free time to look around the terminal and adjacent area !
The team of most helpfull people, from the airport authority, who guided us around the airside, control tower and museum were wonderfull ! nothing was too much trouble ! They seemed so pleased that a group of people could be interested in their airport and assured us we would be welcomed back at any time !!
I will make another thread covering the very interesting museum visit in the historic section very soon !!
