Seems like the First Choice re-vamp is making airlines realise passengers are willing to pay more for extra room in their latest scheme.
ABTN report that,
During Winter 05/06 it is refurbishing its fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft to feature at least 48 seats that have 34″ seat pitch.
Also not part of that article but there has been speculation of upgrade IFE systems in these seats but i doubt that will happen.

In a way its actually no more than what first choice added onto the prices of their holidays.
