Monday Tele. Moggy makes a fool of himself

I suppose I shoud really stay quiet about this, but in the unlikely event you can receive Channel 5, other than looking like a bad snowstorm, you might like to laugh at Swapheads on Monday night at 19:00 (Seven o’clock)

You will remember they recruited one of the contestants via this forum. 🙁

If you have anything better to do I would strongly advise you do it. I don’t think you’ll find the WW2 aircraft questions too taxing.

RE: Bl**dy journalists!

And that’s why I am now confused! The way it’s worded, it’s like Howard appeared on the TV as the contestant…. not that I could watch anyway as we don’t C5 (surprise).

Mind you, that’s not the only article they didn’t get their facts right in this week, so I guess we’ll just have to stick with ‘Bl**dy journalists’ for now!

Bl**dy journalists!

Yes there’s an article.

Yes Amber gets a mention

Howard ‘Handlebars’ Cook gets three columns and two pictures

And Moggy?

Not a mention.

Hurrumph!

Sadsack

Songwriting ability???

thats a matter of opinion. But as I do like some of his song I will let it slide.

I really think that he just says what everyone else thinks about but is too scared to confront but other times its just plain crap.

Congrats once again Moggy and point taken about the mercy of the cutting room floor.

Can’t argue with that at all. 🙂

I watched the programme last night and thought it went very well. There were one or two points where I thought we were about to see your sense of humour unleashed on the two music journalists, but it almost looked as though you were under strict orders to behave yourself – what a pity… 😉 Anyway, well done mate.

On another note – are Howard Cook and Charlie Brown now having a ‘who can grow the largest moustache’ competition?

Actually no.

Welcome to the wonderful world of TV editing.

In fact, they reversed the order of the last section. I went first, dropped just that one question “forget about / forgot about” and ended up with 21 points. Amber, who instead of spending the last quiet hour learning the names of aircraft had been sitting with ‘my’ Eminem experts chatting, scored the 18 you saw.

Looks like they reversed it and cut it to make the show more, er, exciting.

I really did feel I was competing for the ‘honour’ of the Forum. There was some bad feeling at the time as the production company didn’t answer a lot of the replies applying to go on, and had excluded anybody under 50. You can now see why that is, they wanted the contrast with a 17 year old cuddling her sweat-soaked Eminem towel. Doesn’t excuse the rudeness though.

Still, thanks everybody for your congratulations. I was a bit worried how it would edit up, you are completely in their hands once the filming finishes. I wasn’t too embarrssed by the final result.

I really loved the way they put together the intro bit with my aircraft. I hope all of you guys will approve of the fact that within four weeks of filming the entire thousand quid had been poured into the wing tanks for an epic trip to Italy and Bordeaux.

Money well spent 🙂

RE: So come on then, Moggy, what do you know about Eminem???????

Moggy How could you 🙂

Imagine beating a gorgeous 17 year old lass like that.Imagine you knowing (Remembering) all that stuff about Eminem. I like a few of his songs but really dont get why he is the greatest rapper out there??

And you still knew more than me.

Well done though mate. No need to get a ribbing from the rest of the forum had you lost to a 17 year old girl ( not that I dont like 17 year old girls) ( oh god that just doesnt sound right me being a bloke) oh well get the jokes in now while you can.

Well done again but she didnt do that badly and to be fair you did miss out the (the) and (lp) out of (the slim shady lp)

so really you got of lightly it could have been a draw if they had gone hard on you.

So come on then, Moggy, what do you know about Eminem???????

I’ll be honest, on the night before the main programme was recorded, (Not the little insert piece on me that they filmed at Knettishall, Home of the 388th BG) I listened to Radio 4 on the way to Tunbridge Wells and they had a piece about his (then) latest album.

Not knowing what the subject I was answering questions on was going to be, I only half listened. But did think “Ohmigod, I hope I don’t have to answer questions on that sort of stuff”

Couldn’t believe it when they told me, on camera, what the subject was. For a really good impression of a stunned Mullet, watch the programme.

I didn’t even know he was white. I thought it was compulsory to be black to do rapping.

Mind you, I got the impression that Amber, my 17 year old opponent hadn’t actually had the combat aircraft of WW2 upmost in her mind the day before either.

Hope you enjoy it. If I was really bad I may sign back onto the Forum under another name.

Sorry Neilly, it was meant in a humorous way, hence the double wink and a smile.
And yes, it’s quite busy just now on the farm, lots to do and late nights – aerial ploughing is quite hard with the T-storms we’re having right now 🙂
OooArrrr………watch out for that haystackkkkkkkkkkk
