Money no object

What totally original extant unique airframe would you restore to flight? And I MEAN original extant and unique. The Malta Gladiator would be mine.

If I could drive and I was buying something to drive then I would get an expensive motorhome and have a tour round Britain and then go over to the Continent and tour there.

Would you have to buy a car? I don’t drive but there are things I would like if money were no object.

No, but since that was the OP’s question the posts have reflected that in the responses.

Yes, you are right, there are many, many things in a list not exclusively automobile driven. But a new thread perhaps…:)

1. A nice detached house away from noisy neighbours.

2. A good long holiday, visiting all the places I’d love to see but currently can’t afford to visit.

3. An Iceland horse.

4. A railway carriage. I have seen articles about people who have transformed old railway carriages into holiday homes, and they look fun when they’re completed. If I couldn’t have a railway carriage then an aircraft would be good.

5. A water tower. I once went up to the top of a water tower in Belgium (Zeebrugge) and the views were superb. I thought it would be fun to own one and convert it into a hotel with a glass restaurant at the top so people could admire the views as they ate.

Sorry Linc

911 to anything Italian is not an ‘upgrade’ in my book (other opinions are available)

Moggy

I think you misunderstood what I meant Moggy, they have several Porches in stock, I was saying you could upgrade to a better model of Porche, not Italian, they only run backwards anyway. 😀

Perhaps you could upgrade your Porche Moggy, it states the Met have several!!
What a prat the owner of the Lambo was, as soon as he got it back on the streets, he got a Parking ticket. Money is obviously no object.

Having just seen a picture of it, the crusher is possibly the best place for it.

Saw it somewhere today, a £275.000 Lambo, brand new, was parked up in London, the Fuzz did a check on it, and it had NO INSURANCE, it was low loaded away, and the Met state it’s more than likely going into the crusher.
What a bummer, can afford the car, but not the Insurance.
Must get mine done in the morrow.

Now ,as it is a benefit from crime couldn’t they sell the car off [raffle it ] and use the money for charities, what a waste.

A bloody rich one Chas, Just think how many decent cars, such as the Mini Cooper “S” he could have had for that amount of money.
Instead of crushing decent cars, why don’t they auction them off to the general public, and the money put into the Police System to offset some of their costs.

Paul, By the time you get that you get that 2 Tons wheels turning, you will just be a speck of dust in my rear view mirror. Or, as Bart would say, “Eat my shorts”. 😀
