Mongu!

Going back to your thread about all the US airlines operating into UK airports, that you posted a while back.

Thought you might appreciate this info?

United flights into LHR:

4 IAD
3 ORD
1 EWR
1 LAX
2 SFO
2 JFK

A total of 13 flights daily. It was 16 before 9/11.

Another pic for you showing how United dominate T3… I count 7 UTN aircraft on stand at T3 and 3 aa Aircraft.

BA’s flights to Philadelphia operate from T3… don’t ask me why, though…

No prob, Adrian. In July 2001, I flew LHR-ORD on a UA 744, not a 777. They still make an occassional cameo in LHR, depending on the season. What’s that BA plane doing there!! Virgin still might have an example or 2 with the old scheme. I think I saw one, not too long ago.

T5, see whats parked up at T3 also… to the left of the shot. :p lol.

I see it Andrew – Thai 747..!! I’m not sure what the latest situation is. Apparently today was the day that we decided what we were going to do about the holiday, but nobody has contacted us, nor have we contacted them.

The UA aircraft will be a mixture of 763s and 772s.

Also, I don’t know when that shot was taken, but there are a couple of Virgin aircraft parked up, one in old colours, one in new. This may be a stupid question, but it’s one I genuinely don’t know the answer to – Are some Virgin aircraft still painted in the old colours?

AA fly to LGW as well though, whereas UAL only fly to LHR so if you look at USA-London as a whole, it may be a different story.

Last time I used T3, I had a late evening flight on Virgin to EWR. Apart from our aircraft, there were about 4 Gulf Air planes and none from US airlines! A funny terminal, T3.

The 3 flights that were canceled were 1 LAX flight, 1 JFK flight, and the lone BOS flight, that eliminates that as a gateway, altogether. It just so happens at this time of the day, there are quite a few UA examples in there. At another time, AA could be the dominant force.

As far as connections go, Adrian, you can connect throught any one of those hub cities from any other city. Some of them are the same flight number (not necessarily same aircraft) and others aren’t. There are many possibilities when you factor in connections.

I think they connect through these destinations too? For example, United might operate Orlando-Washigton-Heathrow?
