Thanks for hijacking a genuine thread guys 😡
The guys did not mean any harm,I thought it was a great little bit of fun,you just happened to pick one of the few towns where a classic rock song was written about….
Deep Purple..smoke on the water….live 1973

listen to the words and you may understand what the guys were doing….it was very clever 😉
As Mary Chapin Carpenter might sing…sometimes you’re the windshield, sometimes you’re the bug…but with aviation you need a really good sense of humour 😀
cheers baz

Sort of related
Here is a pilot for a sitcom Ricky Gervais done, it is about a man who think’s he is David Bowie, with a Freddy Mercury impersonator, this is really funny. A funny bit with the impersonator slapping Gervais on the backside in the style of Freddy Mercury.

[B]Yes! That’s quite enough of that now, chaps.
Lighten up, XH668. Your thread brought happiness to others in an unexpected manner, and Freddie would have heartily approved. (Oh, to have heard him sing ‘Smoke On The Water’………)
Thanks

I went up into the mountains on the rack railway there – tremendous. The Freddie Mercury statue was a bit underwhelming I thought.
