I’m sure this BBC news article will interest those on the forum with an interest in possible miscarriages of justice:

What other Nation, other than us Brits, can start off a thread about a murderer, and end up talking about underwear, Is this the sort of spirit that the Germans couldn’t break in WW11 ?. 😉

Really if you want to make this Forum intelligble to a large proportion of 21st Century Britian you must first understand the vernacular.
Jim is correct “Brief” has just a single meaning such as “I aint saying nuffing without a brief I knows me uman rites!”
The undergarments referred to are known as “Skidders” or “Kacks”
M&S? your street cred is zero. It must be Calvin Klein at least preferably stolen from an upmarket store.
It makes you want to weep!
Thanks for keeping therse ingrates informed Paul:diablo:

…undergarments…
Undergarments? I wish!
These days ‘undergarments’ seem to be worn in the twelve-inch gap between the top of the jeans and the bottom of the ‘hoody’!

I buy my ‘briefs’ from M&S, never thought of insuring them though.:p
I’ve found you don’t need to insure them if you wash them occasionally. 😀
Telly, Rellies, cuppa…
Don’t blame your disintegrating language on the Americans…:diablo:

Relatives. People blood related.

Will somebody explain to me what ‘closure’ is?
We didn’t have it in my day. It seems to be a new concept that is mandatory for televised victims rellies.

I’ll explain “Closure” if you explain “Rellies” 😉

I can’t afford a “Brief” if I had to pay out of my own pocket, mine is covered by Insurance.

I first heard this in California in the late 80s, we seem to be becoming more “Americanised” each day, our language, that is.
But back to the matter in hand, I bet Brady in prison, has had a far better life in a lot of respects more than some Law abiding folks I know.
Under his “Human rights” he has many things we would possibly never get. One item, the cost of just one of the many appeals he has made. I can’t afford a “Brief” if I had to pay out of my own pocket, mine is covered by Insurance.
Think I had better go and have a cuppa, before I fall off my soap box.:(

I agree with Tornado. He could have given the locations of his victims bodies years ago and at least given the familes a chance to bury them properly and hopefully find some closure. IMHO the Bxxstard is in no position to ask for anything.

Granted…..but only if he`s up a chimney …and I light the fire this time………….

He has no rights,he forgo those the second he killed Pauline Reade.
By: BSG-75 - 10th December 2011 at 17:56
This is where ‘Life’ imprisonment over the death penalty actually works. Hopefully, he is going through a living hell unlike the poor kids he murdered so many years ago. I say force feed him so he can continue in misery and on the bright side (tornado64) if his tenuous conviction is overuled, he can be released back into society:rolleyes:
win-win
Baz
I agree totally, hopefully he will live on.
By: Arabella-Cox - 10th December 2011 at 17:24
i’d allow him his right but under the deal he reveals the location of the missing once found get shut of him !!
Gosh. And there I was thinking you were quite the murderers champion tornado. How do you know he isn’t innocent?
By: Creaking Door - 10th December 2011 at 17:07
I think him being kept alive as a punishment would be a good idea, but obviously he should be sentenced to that by a court.
Isn’t that exactly what was done?
Brady has been on hunger-strike since 1999 and is being force-fed to stop him killing himself; if he ‘wins’ this review he will be returned to prison, rather than a secure mental hospital, where he will have ‘the right’ to starve himself to death.

People have a right to die IMO. I think him being kept alive as a punishment would be a good idea, but obviously he should be sentenced to that by a court.
