I would hope that the deterrent value of a weapon that can destroy the Iranian nuclear program would have a positive impact on the diplomatic effort (and who is brave enough to gamble on the Iranian side?).
This is MOP’s real value.

BTW – the IISS has just published an report suggesting that sanctions may be seriously affecting Iran’s solid-propellant missile development programme. It points to the absence of recent flight tests of the Sejil missile.
