Flew up from Crowfield in G-BSJU (Cheeky 6) – Excellent afternoon. Haven’t posted phots before, as just can’t seem to get the quality – but with some good sun today finally managed to get a few of worth (altough still not upto someof the standards on here!) – All shot with Canon 400D with Tameron 18-200 lens
Apologies if these are a bit same old from other posts…

Last P40 shot looks dramatic to me and the colour is very good. Thanks for posting.
Cheers

I love the tonal values on the P40 pics (late evening sun?) – they could be period Kodachrome!

Thanks for the comments – Apologies I haven’t responded sooner, but was busy updating the Suffolk Coastal Strut website with photos from our Boxted flyin a couple of weeks back
Didn’t realise my edited photos still include the EXIF – learn something new every day!
Anyway as old Shape indicated (Thanks) all shot on Shutter priority. All at 1/160th bar the Mustang which was at 1/200th. Trying to see if using a faster speed helped getting a sharper result – It seemed to but, also also almost stopped the prop, which I don’t want to do – must check out what others use. Initially on ISO 100, although upped this for a shot in the hangar, but obviously reset it back to 200 rather than 100 for some reason! Focal length mostly at 200 for the flying shots, but lower, down to 60, for the landing/take-off shots – but that was because I was standing right next to the runway! Kittyhawk sounded wonderful taking-off standing that close!!
A few more below – some how missed the Harvard from the batch above – included a couple of the visitors and a Pitts in the hangar

Thanks for looking…

On msteggalls behalf……he had it locked on Shutter priority, 1/160th or 1/200th. Shots were at F9 or F10 or F11. ISO at 100 or 200. Focal length all over the shop from 60 to 200.
