More Chailey pics

Well my pics are not quite up to the level of the others, but here goes. What a lovely show it was. A most pleasant way to spend a Sunday.

Mike J,

We can express our opinions, so who’s your favourite commentator then? Mine has got to be John Blake

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

What a great bloke. They threw away the mould……

Mike J,

We can express our opinions, so who’s your favourite commentator then? Mine has got to be John Blake, my least favourite being Sean Maffett (Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) Or even better than that, no commentary at all and let the engines speak!

Payload, can I join you in poking him with a large blunt instrument? 😮

Mike J,

‘Twas nice to see a commentator with some ‘life’ in him!

IMHO, Brendan was the icing on the cake at Chailey. Strange character he may be, but he sure as hell can out commentate some of the old farts you hear at Duxford and Old Warden, most of whom need prodding with a sharp stick every now and then..

Don’t let Discovery Wings influenence you, if you dont know the man personally, Brendan certainly knows how to fly an aeroplane..

U & Who’s 😀

Who was the commentator? He so sounded like Brendan O’Brien of Discovery Wings fame.

I wonder why that might be……. 😉

Name that voice?

Where has that week gone! Congratulations and many thanks to all involved in Chailey 2004. A beautiful day out. But ever since last Sunday, I have had one nagging question! Who was the commentator? He so sounded like Brendan O’Brien of Discovery Wings fame. Can anyone make me any the wiser?

Great photos! I like the one with Carolyn and ML407, gives you a nice idea of size and scale!

Shorty01
Absolutely love that composite of the flight line.
I’m surprised at the size of some of the crews that get out of a Jabiru…

Looks like it was a great event. May have to add it into my diary for next year.

Yes it did look a bit dinky taxying out with the heavy stuff at the end.

Anyway here is one of the Harvard Display team being prep’ed.

Nice 172 in the line up, even trying to do a taildragger impersonation due to a slight slope in the land!!!

Very nice photos. Love the montage and ate those the Hairyplane knees appearing under the PT-22? I think they are 🙂
