More Cosford

I’ve been out of serious air show going for a long while – usual excuses, raising family etc – but I was determined to make an effort for Cosford, the only big one within easy day trip distance from Liverpool.
Only after I’d checked some old notes did the penny drop that the Vulcan and I were older chums than i had realised – the first time I took her photograph was at the 1966 Finningley Battle of Britain display. She’s probably in better nick for her age than I am! I also put down my interest in aviation to having been reduced to tears as a toddler by a Sea Fury doing a rocket-assisted take-off at Hooton in about 1954, buit I managed to get through Cosford without any ancient memories resurfacing!
