Firstly, the Shackelton getting a bit of exercise, the week before last… 🙂

Finally, some shots passed on to me by a friend of AACF’s participation in ‘Rapide Legends’ in the summer. No prizes for guessing the airfield in the aerial shot, but feel free to play ‘spot the Dakota’, the camoflage paint applied by the BBMF evidently works very well, only the shadow gives it away! I thought it was nice to see some ‘real’ photos for a change, I am a complete digital convert yet there is something nice, albeit slightly blurry, about these offerings 😀

Thanks Will – just goes to prove that Scrapheap Challenge is alive and well in the real world!

I forgot my camera this weekend. Again. However, as we were mainly de-riveting and inspecting (and laughing as Dave got his arm stuck in the wing for the fourth or fifth time) I doubt if I would have photographed anything of value!

Temporary paint, how long does it last

This is G-AMRA, a few weeks after the Remembrance Sunday flypasts in London. It had been planned to wash the paint off straight after, but a request was made to leave it on for a charity event later in the month, by which time it was looking a bit worse for wear. Also included is a shot of how she normally looks, for comparison 😀
