Here is my latest update on the RAAF F-111 retirment from December 2010.
It has some interesting flightgear photos, some interesting aircrew photos of my F-111 mates and some general information for people to get a further insight to F-111 operations.

In this case ‘PM’ means ‘Personal Message’ – look to the top right of your display of the forum on your screen, and you’ll see ‘Your Notifications’, follow the links from there!
Hope that helps.
Thanks. I figured it out about 30 seconds after I sent the reply.

Sorry, I don’t understand. I know Shep is not the Aussie PM :o)

That is a very true statement. While I could throw back many XXXX stubbies in my time, I could never match Shep. He was a great pilot and I have fond memories flying with him in the PIG.
TEBERGAM, bet you couldn’t best Shep in the bar…..

Shep and I had many adventures during the short time I was privileged to be assigned to RAAF No. 1 Squadron. I lost track of him over the years and very pleased to see he did so well.
Welcome to the forum!
You’ll note he went onto other things, like running the air force… Obviously you steered him well. 😉

Ha-ha!
I read the title of this thread wrong…. I thought it was saying that the F111 will continue to operate after retirement from the RAAF 🙂

F-111C Days
I was an Exchange F-111 Navigator in 1980-1982 with No. 1 Squadron. I have very fond memories of the time I spent Down Under. My pilot was Flight Lieutenant Geoff Shepherd. Lot’s of adventures. Very sad to see the old girl retired, but she served admirably during the years in service.
