Special radiation absorbing paint or something like that? Apparently all airliners have it but they paint over it?

I’m sure it’s something along those lines ?

Well, by definition, a radome should be radar transparent, so, stay unpainted (like the first radar equipped planes / black noses on the first airliners) or painted with a special coat that lets radiation through… Reason why I’m really intrigued.
