More news about the Brazilian FX program

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-08-02 AT 03:26 PM (GMT)]Most of these are not officially confirmed but the websites and magazines from which I got these informations are relativelly trusthful

Brazilian has already done its technical avaliation results. In 1st place was the Su-35/Su-35UB, in 2nd the Saab Jas-39 Gripen and the F-16 got the 3rd place. The Mirage 2000-5 MK2 just got the 4th place with the MiG-29 beeing left as the worst option and both falied in some important technical requests. Classified FAB (Brazilian AF) documents showed that the transfer of technology multiplied until 10 times the pontuaction taken by the fighter and the offer for buying brazilian products being the lower multiplier. The proposal values (including armament) were:
Su-35: US$680 Milions
F-16C Block 5-/52: US$990 Milions
Mirage 2000-5 MK2: US$1,28 Bilion
There is no information about Gripen and Fulcrum prizes.
The only proposal which didnt include was the F-16. (obsviouly, huh?!)
It was also reported that Sukhoi promised compensatory buyings by Russian companies of US$ 1,4 Bilions (US$2,05B according other sources), Saab promised US$ 2,1B and RSK (MiG-29) US$1B. Lockheed and Dassault did not make any offer.
These documents will now be sent to National Defense Council aproval and after that, to Brazilian president approval.

Just remembering most of these are unofficial by now but as soon as these information get officially confirmed by Brazilian AF I will report you guys…
