More possible orders by major airlines to be placed!

Now that US airways has just placed a massive order, seems that other are to follow….

News from Justplanes.

Air New Zealand May be placing an order by the end of the year for new long range aircraft to replace its Boeing 747-400s. Under consideration are the Airbus A340-600 and Boeing 777-300ER.

Be sad so see the Air NZ heavies go… such a spectacular sight at LHR! 🙁

CSA is looking to place an order sometime this summer to replace its pair of Airbus A310s. Under consideration are the Airbus A330 and Boeing 767.

Either to me would look good in a CSA c/s, but the A330 of course would look that little bit better… Im sure T5 doesn’t agree! :p

Volga Dnepr Is in talks with Boeing about a possible order for 2 Boeing 747-400 Freighters. The airline is looking to take the aircraft before the end of this year.

So looks like Boeing and Airbus are going to be at War yet again.

Boeing also ordered, and received, the B744ER. I think they will have a mixed fleet. They still have a large number of smaller Boeing aircraft in their fleet.

er, Qantas, you mean?

Qantas have ordered 13 A332 and 333 to take the plac of the older 767s.
They have also ordered A380s and will keep all their 744s.

CSA seems like a likely 767 candidate.

I think ANZs plan is to go all Airbus.
They have already ordered A 320s to replace their 733s

You’re damn right Andrew! The 767 should win over the A330 :p but let’s face it, anything has to be better than the chubby-looking A310!
