Hey :).
Jet2 have today announced four new Spanish routes from Newcastle. These are Almeria at 2x weekly, Malaga at four times weekly, Palma up to daily in high summer, and Valencia at three times a week.
Excellent news for Newcastle, they are sure competing well with Thomsonfly and easyJet up there!

Wow didn’t know we were getting three 757’s at LBA next summer, is that definite?

lukeylad, one fo the new a/c will be a 757 😉 For flights to TFS, PMI, AGP and others to be announced 😉
Looking at the NCL schedules for PMI and AGP, they are both in the air at the same time, so if a 757 is to be based, it cannot operate PMI and AGP.
Also, the PMI schedule is done by the MJV based aircraft so unless they are planning to base a 757 to run MJV-NCL-PMI-NCL-MJV it won’t be a 757 on PMI. There are 3 757s in the LBA schedule for the summer already and 2 at MAN, so Jet2 will need to buy another 757 to operate one out of NCL.

I can see them basing a 757 at NCL. Maybe the 757 might be TFS based this summer, but they could change it for next summer. Jet2 operate 75’s on the likes of AGP and PMI from LBA and MAN, so could see it happening at NCL.
Judging by the timings published on Jet2.com, it looks like an aircraft will be based in Murcia. This looks to be at least operating flights to Belfast and Newcastle, we may see other bases linked in this way, I don’t know.

Do LS base aircraft at Murcia?
G-kirk,
Is A based 757 likely? The TFS flights will be a TFS based bird?

The Murcia and the Palma are to be done by a Murcia based aircraft so that might preclude an aircraft being based at NCL, but they will still need another for the other extra flights.

737s im thinking would like to see a 757 but me thinks there aint quite enough scope for one at ncl yet.

I would imagine another based aircraft is a given, with up to 16 extra flights a week.
