Seemingly BA have told two high ranking executives to pack their bags. And as soon as they find them, they will…

Heads may roll, but there will be a few hundred thousand in each basket!

My jaded comment was to do with the way people in the British media take great glee in reporting anything that goes wrong in the UK.

Bri 🙁

And in some ways I can understand that completely. Why is it I can travel through Europe 20-odd times a year and things run smoothly, then on the occasions I need to rely on public transport on my return home the first thing I’m generally greeted by is a delay of some kind.

The UK can be a stunningly, mindblowingly beautiful country (right up there with Canada and Norway as my favourites). This I’ve really come to appreciate after 14 years of constant gigging in virtually every corner of our little island but it has to be said, it could be run a little better.

Of course, the people in the British media assume that nothing has ever gone wrong at other new airports around the world…

Bri :dev2:

I see no such assumptions or implications whatsoever in this particular report. It’s simply stating what BA are planning.

I wonder if this would have been allowed to happen if e.g. BMI had been the airline moving to T5? Just another sign of the world revolving around BA at LHR.

Fair enough for BA, they are in a bit of a situation at the moment so it suits them to delay the move, but to delay the whole programme with no consultation or consideration for other airlines is just plain wrong in my opinion.

It sounds like a wise decision though …
