Good morning all,

Pogno, the Bloch & Potez are French pre-WW2 military aircraft.

Is not the guy in the flying suit, Udet. I’m sure that is Udet’s Flamingo in the middle of the first photograph.

The BFW U 12 Flamingo D764 photo i posted was Paul Baumer’s aircraft. Here’s another one on skis , can anybody tell who the people are.
Thanks

I now think that 6 is possibly a Heinkel 32 and 7 possibly an Albatros L68.

Then the SE5 is probably German and specifically D-1634 (one of five, 32 to 36). There in the middle of the second French photo is the Potez 25 A2. Does the German register for the D number series exist?

Richard,
I think you may well be correct. The owner of the photo thought it was a Savage machine, but when you look closely, there is n o large ‘G’ on the fin, which i would have expected, and the registration on the fuselage appears to end in a 4.

Steve you seem to be having fun identifying my photo’s. Heres a Udet Flamingo. They have a conection with Dunstable, Beds as Alfred Weyl of Dart Aircraft was involved with the desgin work. The other photo I think was taken at Mourmelon. As i now have the other photo that was part of the deal, with an 88sqdn Battle in the background.

Steve
Are you sure the SE5a is a Savage Skywriting aircraft. I have read that the Polish Air Force had a couple and that one was flying in 1920.
What’s the nationality of the aother a/c in the group.

The biplane in the middle of the French types is a Potez 25 A2 (just make out the taller rudder).

From the front No’s 3, 4 and 5 The others are too indistinct on my screen but I think 6 might be a F W Keibitz.

Thanks John. Which ones are the Flamingos?
By: John Aeroclub - 6th April 2009 at 10:15
Amongst the biplanes are some BFW U 12 Flamingos and I think the nearest type is a Raab Katzenstein RK2c Pelikan

1st Picture, the wreck & the twin behind, seems to be Bloch MB-131.
