More trouble ahead?

Just as restrictions were slowly being relaxed and air travel was becoming (somewhat) easier to tackle (in comparison to this time last week), two new ‘high level’ security threats have been uncovered.

Firstly, Police have found a suitcase in Buckinghamshire containing ‘all the parts required to make an improvised device’. However, lets not jump to anything here from our lovely press…..they did not use the word “bomb” so one may assume that no explosive materials were found and therefore the remainder of the items may have been for other purposes. Secondly, what may appear to be more worrying, a woman of Pakistani origin was found to have two containers of liquid in West Virginia that were picked up by a sniffer dog and then later tested positive after a swab for explosive materials. This incident does seem more severe although discretion may also be required. On one hand, sniffer dogs are very well trained with an incredible acute sense to smell, but on the other hand the swab machines test positive for materials other than explosives.
