"Morning Mission" (P-51B) final pencil study

Hi guys, it’s been a while since I last visited … but I come bearing gifts, er, images. Well, just one.

Finished this pencil study the other day. I’ll start mixing paint next week on the 18 x 24 oil painting going to one of my collectors. Shouldn’t take too long to finish. After the painting, I’ll jump back to “The Debden Kidd”.

This scene was initially supposed to be a small (and quick) oil study, but I liked the composition so much that I decided to do it larger so I could show a little more detail. 4th FG ace Ralph Kidd Hofer taxies his famous Salem Representative on 8 June 44, the date of my companion piece, “The Debden Kidd”.
