This seems almost an exact repeat of when The Station nightclub in Rhode Island burned in 2003 during a Great White concert, claiming the lives of 100 people. When the hell will we learn? This has happened before and it will keep happening until people realise it’s avoidable simply by being sensible. The fact such incidents are avoidable makes the loss of these poor souls all the more tragic. 100+ less people on this little blue planet and probably thousands of friends and relatives grieving unnecessarily.
May those lost Rest In Peace. 🙁 😡

I can’t ague with that…..it still surprises me how quickly the fire spread in the roof of the Bradford stadium.
I’ve spent the last few years in my job travelling round these provences, and as much as I feel enlightened by my cultural exhanges, I still wonder WTF is going in in certain modern EU regions ?
There is certainly a problem in Russia; according to the BBC website Russia had 18,000 fire deaths in 2008!

There is some shocking video on the BBC website shot from inside the nightclub as the fire breaks-out.
It isn’t shocking because it is graphic; rather it shows just how quickly a small ceiling fire can lead to a major tragedy. Even the person that shot the video is initially viewing it as unusual rather than dangerous and stays to film it. The latter part of the video shows just how quickly things deteriorate, how confusing the situation is and how soon confusion turns to panic.
It is worth watching because if you ever find yourself in a similar situation it may save your life.
The Bradford City football fire footage of 1985 is equally shocking for the same reasons. Incredible just how quickly a tiny fire became a major inferno !

The entire situastion is absurd, they’ve seen it before and still thought they could handle it. Gross stupidity at work. I’ve spent the last few years in my job travelling round these provences, and as much as I feel enlightened by my cultural exhanges, I still wonder WTF is going in in certain modern EU regions ?
