I had the good fortune in the early 90’s to be stationed in Germany with the Canadian military and had the better fortune of being able to visit Duxford (hope to go again soon) but while I was there I had the opportunity to see the Mosquito fly (don’t know who owned it or even if it’s still flying) but it being one of my alltime fav a/c it was a joy to watch.
My post has to do with one of the variants that was tested and was hoping that some of you may have better pictures then the one I’ve seen of the turret equipt aircraft (a/c)
Thanks in advance, Gerry

Covered in ‘The Aucklander’ article linked to in the Wings Over NZ thread, and I think in the ‘Mosquito Rollout’ thread on this forum.
Keith Skilling and Dave Phillips will be test pilots.
Thanks, Errol!

That’s beautiful! Does anyone (here!) know who will be flying it?

Flat 6 Aero Engine
Not sure as to what engines are used but they seem to be a flat 6 configuration as can be seen in the initial link on post no.1

Looks quite good so far! What engines have they installed?
As for the canopy – if it’s a two-seater, then upscaling the canopy in order to fit both occupants is going to be unavoidable…

good to see its making such great progress. doesnt the canopy look a bit on the big side ?

Good Progress…
I have just received a New Year greeting from our friends over the pond with an attchment of this Mosquito project so far. She is looking good but not sure how far from flight she is??

I’m not making it 3/4, but full scale Martin. From the front to the instrument panel and halfway of the fuselage. Hope to finish it in a couple of weeks.

All that great work….so why make it 3/4 scale?……….space?
By: stirling01 - 25th December 2010 at 11:31
I received an email from the RAF museum with some images, but alas not one with a clear view of the nose-section floor. France did not respond. At this moment I presume my panel is from a Mk 35 Mosquitobomber. I’ll have to use my imagination and an unclear drawing to complete the bombaimers section.
It seems someone in Canada has a maintenance manual of a MK 35. Perhaps this person will give a message some day.

There is also a good chance my panel is from a Mosquito Mk. B 35. So if anyone has pilot’s notes or a maintenance manual of this plane, please look if there is a picture how the bomb aimerspanel was fitted on the floor in the nose-section.
