A recent book from Martin Bowman entitled “Mosquitopanik!” is said to list all Mosquito losses and victories.

This might be your best starting point.

2TAF was formed in June 1943 but it appears (Mosquito – Sharp/Bowyer) that Mossie intruder operations didn’t begin until 3rd October.

Looks as if the area was a very happy hunting ground for 418 Squadron – Mosquito Intruders.

Nothing in ‘Bomber Command War Diaries’ that ties up with a Mosquito lost on this date, Andy. Sorry.

yes, my first stop was BCWD and as you say nothing.
Was 2 Group part of 2TAF by then? Would that make it outside bomber command?
I don’t know.
Moggy, I think you may well be looking in the right place.

The story behind this is that a French acquaintance of mine has parts from the aircraft in question and would like to know more about them.
