Mosquito Museum Visit

Had a flying visit to the Mosquito Museum yesterday with the family, as we were in the area. I was pleasantly surprised how busy it was, there was only one space left in the car-park!
The main hangar was a bit emptier than on the winter forum visit, with the Chipmunk nearing completion and the Mosquito 6 a somewhat different colour! (painted that very morning)

The Kids enjoyed themselves, and my Wife was impressed with the level of restoration activity, and the fact that the kids could get up close/inside some of the exhibits

Bruce, It was good to meet you yesterday, hope I didn’t disturb your serial number painting!
I obviously enclose a few pics for you to ‘enjoy’ (sorry :diablo: )

The Comet flightcrew looked a little inexperienced…

At least they have age on their side so it being (well was) a multi engined historic aircraft they could fly her. 🙂 🙂

Absolutely; I have no issue with my sexuality….. :p

Please see my thread elsewhere for more on the painting of the Mosquito.

Nice photos wb, how is the prototype looking?

Regards, SFF

Thanks SFF, The Prototype is coming along, still engineless and the tailcone needs some TLC, but it is mainly yellow!

I had to include the picture of the bulkhead panel in the Dove, must get me some decor at home like that, my wife didn’t seem quite so keen….

The Comet flightcrew looked a little inexperienced…

Pink? Bruce? Never!

That’s BS381c/454 Pale Roundel Red that is. Absolutely no question about it.
