– there are 3 B35’s in Canada, and none of them fit the bill.

No – HML was there at the time when my friend saw this other Mosquito, and I’ve seen a photo of the wing under a sheet there.

Wasn’t KA114 owned by Ed Zalesky? I’ve heard that it was complete, and substantially intact. Well, when my source saw it, it was dismantled, but the wing and fuselage were both in one piece.

I don’t know much about KA114, but the Zalesky also owned CF-HML which sounds like the plane your source saw. I would love to hear more about KA114 if someone has any info.

I wonder if the for sale plane is CF-HMS?

Hi All,

What about KA 114 an FB 26, which (as far as I know) has been in long term storage in the Canadian Museum of Flight & Transportation? I don’t know the condition of this Mossie, but it’s not supposed to be good.

Merry Christmas to all,
Neilly

Wasn’t this the one found on a farm and almost falling to bits? I remember seing a photograph of the fuselage and wings which were reasonably complete but years of outside storage doesn’t do the wood any good.

Cheers

Yes – RG 300 was the ID of the Mosquito remains that they had in their dump. As I understand it, they bought it to take the Merlins off and the remainder was left to rot. I think Jim has a fair amount of stuff off it, but as with most Mossies that have been left outside for a while, the wood is useless.

You may be right, but I have RG300 in my mind. Plus, you know Jim better than I do!

Keep in mind that the contact info is in Ontario. Doesn’t say the project is there.

Isn’t that Bob Jens’ aircraft? CF-something or other….

I dunno much about it, other than he was rebuilding it to fly. Perhaps he’s decided to let someone else do it?
