For all Mosquito lovers out there, I’ve loaded this video taken at North Weald in 1996. It was a stunning display and I had never seen the aircraft displayed in such an aggressive manner before, but this was only about a month before the loss of the aircraft.
You can’t fail but be impressed by this aircraft after watching the display.

Still one of the best sights and sounds ever to grace the skies, cant wait until another mossie takes to the skies somwhere in the world. If only it was in the UK.
Watching that video im sure i could hear the 633 Squadron theme in my head during the low passes…………..Bliss!

It has been said, many times on the Vulcan thread that the Vulcan was an absolute show stopper. It was…
This was the other one, and the reason I dont go to airshows anymore. Everyone stopped when the Mossie displayed.
What more can I say…

Fantastic stuff Vultee.
I remember seeing her for my one and only instance in the early 1990’s at Coventry Airport. She put on a display for the Midland Air Museums Wings and Wheels event.
Stunning display that remains crystal clear in the memory even now. The sound of the two merlins was sweet and yes that display was just as aggresive as the one on your video.
A much missed aircraft. Will we ever see a flying Mossie again on these shores. I hope so.
