I must firstly ofer my thanks to Bruce, Ian and Ralph for there hospitallity today. This museum is a real credit to its volunteers, and I would encourage anyone who has not yet been to visit this fantastic collection to do so. Today was a superb oppertunity to photograph TA634 in the sun, along with the other airframe (I dont know the ID), under restoration. There were also a large number of movements in the hanger for the various exhibits, and these images reflect just a tiny amount of the activities. I will post more when I can. The Chipmunk restoration is lovely, well done Bruce!

Bruce
You and your team certainly do deserve praise indeed on a fantastic job, and my own personal thanks for allowing me to crawl into every nook and cranny some years ago for a college project which I am now in the process of colouring up and hopefully is of some interest here.

Dragging this topic kicking and screaming back to the top…
Just received the latest FP, and am absolutely delighted to see a full page dedicated to our move around, with pictures by Darren Harbar. Thanks to Darren, and of course to Ken, for publishing. It also makes you realise what a resource this forum is for the news pages of flypast, with a number of articles and pictures regularly published by contributors from the forum.
Now, if anyone fancies taking a picture of our new Venom, so we can get it 2 months in a row…!
Also, by pure coincidence, on the facing page, detailing the disbandment of 899NAS, is a picture of our Sea Vixen getting Airborne from a carrier. Or perhaps not coincidence… Ken??
Cheers

The Venom on the trolley is J-1790, ex G-BLKA, and its now assembled (we put it together on Saturday and Sunday)
All the best

Lovely pictures of a truly great preservation effort. Cheers Bruce.
Can’t help thouigh thinking back to the days when the Mosquito used to sit quietly on the Fighter Pan at the N Weald Fighter Meets waiting its turn to display. How lucky we were then.
Moggy
Thanks Bruce great great photo’s.
I could not agree more Moggy i remember the North weald days i have some photos of RR299 on the pan at North weald somewhere maybe try and dig them and the scanner out sometime.
Its wonderful to see a Mossie in the sunshine i still dream of the day when a Mossie rises to the skies again.
