I am interested to know what peoples thoughts are on the most annoying airline/airport problem that you experience most commonly, and what suggestions you could think of to help solve the problem?
Please feel free to contribute, any suggestions welcome.

I’ve always had an inner ear problem after any sort of flight. I have no trouble whilst flying but in the weeks following a flight i have vertigo which causes slight dizziness and nausea

The would be because they are ignoring the child as if they speak to “it” (probably because it wants something) then the child will always scream to get its own way.
lol.
but parents should have more control over their kids when on flights…
On one flight I was on, they allowed the child to play with their toy cars in the aisle, and bearing in mind this was a single aisled aircraft, it caused havoc whilst trying to fight the queue for the loo, having a car rammed into your foot… I was hoping that the cabin crew could of run over the toy with the trolley!
Perhaps they could introduce a child only section of the aircraft, preferably somewhere in the baggage hold…hehe ๐ :diablo: :p

Especialy the kind whose parents seem to be deaf towards as they just continue screaming

I’d have to say that for me, it has to be delays. They are at times unavoidable but they are annoying nonetheless!

stuck between two big fat guys whose bellies insist on not only taking over whatever little hand rest there is but intruding into your narrow economy seat…. screaming babies would come second

Nose all stuffed up and the pressure changes popping the eardrum. Happened on my very first trip abroad.

I think by far the most annoying flight irritation is children. Screaming ones.

A tight seat pitch I can handle (4 hours on a thomas cook 757 is enough!) but a screaming child makes me wish I had a tanquilizer gun to hand.

I think all low-cost and charter operators are just as bad as each other…they need to start thinking about passengers essential needs – comfortable seats being one!
They should look at Titan Airways (www.titan-airways.com). Although they charter/lease their aircraft out to other operators, their seat pitches on both the 737 and 757 would offer such better quality.
At least with Ryanair these days, with their new config, the seats don’t recline. I really think that this is a huge advantage for a person woth long legs and should be adopted by other airlines!
I fully agree with your comment about Thomsonfly – bring back Britannia airways and the old colour scheme!!

When you are trying to sleep and you have either screaming kids on the flight, or a cuple insisting on having a row right next to you.

The awful SEAT PITCH,so my knees are in the back of the seat in front ALL throughout the flight! I can tolerate most of the other irritants mentioned, but to have discomfort throughout the entire flight is unacceptable. I have found Britannia Airways/Thomson are the worst! ๐ก
My grandparents flew to Gran Canaria with Thomsonfly over Christmas and New Year period, and said it was bloody awful seats and service as well…and that they would rather pay the extra and go with BA next time!
I personally think they (Thomsonfly) have shot themselves in the foot since changing their name from Britannia…and their new livery – yuk, bring back the old navy blue one (see below)!
Monarch are by far the worst I have ever flown with and will never fly with them again!

Revenge is sweet – I kept tapping his wheelie bag with my foot during the ‘long walk’ leaving T2. It kept tipping over and getting dragged for a few feet. Once it got caught on a barrier post by the escalators and nearly pulled his arm out of its socket. He did not seem very happy and called me a couple of names!!
I think I might try that when someone annoys me next time…lol. ๐ :diablo:

Last week – Lufthansa Hamburg to LHR. Herr X reclined his seat as soon as he’d sat on it. It stayed reclined through take off cruise and landing. Trolley dolley requests to ‘put it up’ got a Ya, Ya! verbal response but No action.

Another option would have been to lower your tray and practice playing the drums on it. Also maybe take it one step further by resting your kness against the back of his seat and tapping your foot! That way he gets a double whammy!!

I couldn’t agree more, especially when the person in front reclines their seat at the earliest opportunity!

Not my number one pet hate, but when the general cabin temperature is too hot or cold.

I think losing you baggage (yea i know it’s just your bag) but mostly your bag is like your home it contains your cloths pesonal info and stuff like that and if you lose that it’s like part of you has gone away becasue you would’nt be able to live as you wolud normally (no cloths wash kit etc) so your life for that amont of time dpends on it

donโt knock it, it might turn out in your favour! I spent 10 hours on an ANZ LAX-LHR flight sat next to an attractive student about my age (and her not-so attractive friend). spent the majority of the flight drinking whisky with her and teaching her how to play poker, although she ended up beating me ๐ฎ
I would have if he had been interesting.

My big dread (though it’s only happened once so far) is when you’re looking forward to a read, a drink, and a nice long kip, and before you’ve even got your seatbelt fastened properly the tree-hugger in the next seat turns to you and says “Hi! I’m Jeremy! We’re going to be spending the next eleven hours together, so why don’t we start by you telling me something about yourself?” I felt like one of the passengers in “Airplane!” when Ted Striker starts telling them all about what happened over Macho Grande.
I had that once lasrt year coming back from Australia, i just played deaf. He soon gave up.
