Most influential AAM in history?

What do you people think? If you haven’t guessed already, I’m a Falcon fanatic myself. For me it has to be the most historically influential AAM. It was the first guided AAM in the USAF, it led to the development of the AIM-54 through the AIM-47, and taught us the value of proximity fuzing (hehe). Last carriers were (or are, if any of these are still in service anywhere) the J-35F/J, J-37 family, and Swiss Mirage IIIS. Any other takers?
