So, what’s the most interesting aircraft you have been on? By interesting, I mean something that probably no other forum member has and something that might be classed as rare.
For example, have you been on an aircraft that has since been involved in an accident and no longer operates, have you been on one with a unique colour scheme or something just as exciting?
You get what I mean. Try and post a photo if you can.
For me, this is the most interesting aircraft I have been on…

…I don’t think I need to explain why. This is the aircraft that flew me back from Thailand a few months ago. The flight was just as exciting. I knew before travelling that my Economy ticket had been upgraded to Evergreen Deluxe. On the day, I ended up in Business Class.
I only found out about the history of this aircraft upon my return, about 2 weeks afterwards. It was a bit of a shock I have to admit!

I got to learn out of that side door whilst we flew over scotland, a rather enjoyable thing for a 14 year old (at the time) to do 😀

I flew jumpseat on a ferry flight YYZ-PMD in 1983 and in 2001 I few jumpseat on an in-flight refueling mission with the RAF. The interesting thing is both these flights were on the same aircraft. L-1011-500 Tristar, British Airways G-BFCA in 1983 and RAF ZD948 in 2001. By the way a great flight both times.

2)Rich International (as I recall,I was about 4) Douglas DC-8, Stanstead – Miami
3)Trans-World L1011 Tristar, Manchester – Toronto

No, i went on it when it came back to Woodford for some heavy maintenance. Would love fly into to Paro though!
I think Paro has one of the best approaches, i have been there twice and its always breath-taking. Not to forget the two go arounds around Everest that are part of the scheduled route of the flight from Delhi. Pity the 146 will be seen no more.
My first flight to Paro was excellent, remember coming back and the 146 parked right next to a BA Concorde in Delhi, magical. 🙂

HP Dart Herald LGW-Beauvais for the 1979 Paris show.
Final passenger carrying flight of the DH Comet from LGW, 1980.
Second to last passenger carrying flight of a BA VC-10 from LGW, 1981.
Bell 206L over Alcatraz, 1981,
Cessna 402 through the Grand Canyon, 1981.
Dragon Rapide pleasure flight at Duxford, 1994.
Cessna 208 Caravan floatplane, Phuket to Phi Phi, 2004. The company, Blue Water, thought I was mad when I told them I just wanted to fly out and come straight back, but when I told them I was an enthusiast who just wanted to fly in a seaplane, they understood; even let me take the controls briefly. Incidentally, the BBJ in the background of the photo belongs to Chelsea FC chairman Roman Abramovich.

Most interestingI I’ve been on and flown (literally) is a Cessna 152. Bumpy little plane with doors that open inflight 😮
Most interesting I’ve touched, walked around and looked into would be the Comet at the Edinburgh Museum of Flight.
