Moths at Sywell – pre Woburn 19.8.2006 Pix c/o Philipturland

Phil says –

These were taken Last Saturday at Sywell………..atendees of the Woburn Moth Rally came to see us and very nice of them too, shame about the weather.

Ben Says-

Sywell seems a perfect home for them 🙂 all beautifully polished – shame indeed about the rubbish weather.

NB have posted these for Phil as his technology is lacking… 😉

TT

P.S.
Many congrats also on saturday last for Phils son being officially named JAKE ANDREW BEECH TURLAND – the only sprog I know of, named after an aeroplane – good work little fella! 😀

I have it on very good authority (TT) that the Chippie is Silver

is it me or does TT need spectacles

even with my nose a mere 2 foot away it was still Blue……………..

Yep its blue 😀 its TT that needs the eye test 😉 it should be silver but the story goes that when it went in for its respray the owner took a pic and said “i want it like this one”. That was a pic of a portugeese chippy parked on a wet appron with a blue sky, the reflextion off the silver made it look blue 😮 So thats the colour it was painted, and that came from the guy at the paint shop :p

The Moths etc looked great at Sywell and i understand that they had a great evening in Hangar One.

Excellent Photographs – nothing looks as good as a british designed and built aeroplane resting upon well kept all grass aerodrome.

Now might be a good time to point out if you would like to see the Dragon, Dragonfly, Rapide, a gaggle of Chipmunks, Tigers and perhaps a Jackaroo together with much much more…tickets for the Sywell Airshow are now available online at www.sywellairshow.co.uk !

Buy em in advance… and get a £2 discount on an adult ticket or get a family ticket (two adults, three chiddlers) ONLY online for a mere twenty five of your English pounds!

Madness!

In fact, probably worthy of its own thread…!

Phil,
I’d say blue too!!!
Nice photos. The BLUE Chippie didn’t make it to Woburn but the others pictured did.

Great pictures, apart from the Chippy, could have been taken any time in the last seventy years! 🙂
